Service Description

WHAT WE WILL DO We will telephone you and speak to you for up to one hour. WE WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH - information about the legal system in easy-to-understand terms - information about the law that applies to your circumstances - practical advice and tips on how to navigate the court process - legal advice as to whether the court is likely to make the orders you want -legal advice on the advantages and risks in your situation on the options open to you. WHAT WE WON'T DO - give you a written summary of our conversation; - answer or write letters on your behalf; - go to court for you; - guarantee you a particular court result (no lawyer can do this). HOW YOU PAY You will need to transfer the set fee to us. Because you are paying for a legal service upfront, your money goes into a trust bank account, and we send you a receipt. Once we've finished your work, we will send you an invoice for the set fee. If we don't hear from you about any problems, in seven days we will take the money from the trust account and pay it into our account. YOUR RIGHTS INCLUDE - to ask for an explanation of these costs. - to negotiate an agreement with us about what the cost is, when or how you will pay. - to receive a written bill from us and ask that it be itemised. - to go to Office of the Legal Services Commissioner (NSW) if we disagree about costs.
